Bronzie Lee Dixon

Bronzie Lee Dixon, age 82 of Winnsboro, passed away on Monday, December 23, 2013 in Winnsboro. Bronzie was born in Wood County on November 27, 1931 to the late George A. and Julie Ann Carden Shirley, Sr. She was a former agent for Physicians Mutual and a homemaker. She was a member of Perryville Baptist Church, and the VFW Auxiliary. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, James Franklin Dixon; brothers, Dan Shirley, George David Shirley; sisters, Jo Lindsey, and Lena Huggins. She is survived by two sons, James Dixon and wife Loraine of Lynn Haven, FL., Steve Dixon and wife Barbara of Tallahassee, FL.; one brother, George A. Shirley, Jr. of Perryville; sisters, Frankie Gatlin of Dallas, Faye Sharp of Baytown; five grandchildren, and six great-grandchildren.
