Buford T. Messer

Mr. Buford Thomas Messer, age 85 of Winnsboro, passed away on Tuesday, December 30, 2014. Buford was born in Winnsboro on February 16, 1929 to the late Jay and Augusta "Gussie" Lawrence Messer. He was a retired truck driver for Tyler Pipe. He was preceded in death by his parents, and a brother, Roy Hunt. He is survived by his loving wife, Dorothy (Bankhead) Messer of Winnsboro; sons, Rodney Messer and wife Jeannette of Sulphur Springs, Tommy Messer of Henderson; daughter, Yuvonne Irby of Winnsboro; brother, Ray Hunt and wife Joann of Tyler; three grandchildren, and seven great-grandchildren. Buford requested no funeral services.
