Burton Allen Bullock, Sr., of Mineola, Texas, passed away peacefully on January 11, 2025, at the age of 92. Burton was born on August 31, 1932, in Mabank, Texas, to Leonard and Estelle McKee Bullock.
A proud graduate of Forest Avenue High School in 1950, he went on to serve his country in the U.S. Navy during the Korean War. Burton dedicated over 40 years to his work at TD Industries in Dallas, with 30 of those years spent as a supervisor. His unwavering commitment and work ethic earned him the respect of his colleagues and made him a well-known figure in the company.
Burton and his beloved wife Bobbie Jo (Smith) Bullock moved to Mineola in 1995, where they made their home after relocating from DeSoto, Texas. Together, they enjoyed a fulfilling life, and Burton became an active member of Masonic Lodge #502 in Mineola. Over the years, Burton developed a love for traveling, and in his later years, he found joy in spending time tending to his beautiful yard. Burton loved the little town of Mineola and treasured his many friends here.
Burton was preceded in death by his parents, Leonard and Estelle Bullock; his wife, Bobbie Jo Bullock; his son, Burton Allen Bullock, Jr.; and his sister, Elizabeth Payne. He is survived by his partner Dollie Marshall; his daughter-in-law Wendy Bullock; his brother Roy Bullock and wife Barbara; seven grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren, all of whom will cherish his memory.
Burton's passing leaves a void in the hearts of all who knew him. His kindness, dedication, and love for his family and friends will be fondly remembered. He will be dearly missed by all who had the privilege of sharing in his life.
