Byron Armstrong

Mr. Byron Wren Armstrong, age 77, of Winnsboro, passed away Thursday, February 22, 2006 in Tyler. He was born on October 15, 1929 in Groesbeck, Tx., to the late Delma and Sarah "Tilley" Clancey Armstrong. He was an oilfield specialist for the Getty Oil Company, a member and Deacon at the First Baptist Church of Winnsboro. He was a U.S. Army Veteran, having served during the Korean Conflict. He married Thelma McKie on December 23, 1954 in Kansas. He is preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Thelma Armstrong on July 16, 2006, one daughter, Karen Armstrong ,one brother, Gene Armstrong, one sister, Jackie Oliver. He is survived by one daughter and son-in-law, Diane and Wayne Ford of Waxahachie; one grandson, Carson Blalock; one sister, and numerous nices and nephews.
