Carl Willard Williams

Carl Willard Williams, age 79, died Sunday, June 19, 2011 after a long and courageous battle with cancer. He was born on Friday, July 31, 1931 in Bryan County, Oklahoma to the late Walter Lee and Wilma Gertrude Masters Williams. He was a retired automotive detailer having worked also for Thomas Plating Works and was a member of Harvest Acres Baptist Church.

He is preceded in death by his parents; three brothers, Lloyd Williams, John Wayne Williams, W. L. Williams; and a sister, Minnie Louella Rollins.

He is survived by his loving wife of 49 years, Linda Kay Cherry Williams of Mineola; an adopted son, Walter Lynn Williams, Jr. of Mineola; an adopted daughter, Debbie Collins of Hugo, Oklahoma; one grandchild and many nieces and nephews.

Visitation for Mr. Williams will be on Wednesday, June 22, 2011 from 6 - 8 PM at Beaty Funeral Home in Mineola.

Funeral services will be held at the Beaty Funeral Home Memorial Chapel in Mineola on Thursday, June 23, 2011 at 11:00 AM with Bro. David Burcham officiating.
