Carmaletta Marlene Ringo

April 11, 1932 — July 26, 2025

Carmaletta Marlene Ringo, age 93 of Hawkins, TX went home to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, during the early morning hours on Saturday, July 26, 2025. In that precious moment, Jesus wrapped His arms around her, and she was also reunited with her husband, Bill, and her son, Carlos. Carmaletta was born on April 11, 1932, in Dallas, TX to Alvin and Allie Caldwell. On August 3, 1946, Carmaletta married her most cherished friend and love of her life, Carmon “Bill” Ringo, and after almost 55 years of marriage he preceded her in death on March 28, 2001.

Carmaletta, along with her husband, owned and operated St. Claire’s Antique Emporium in Gladewater, TX. Even though she enjoyed gardening, cooking, sewing, going to antique auctions, garage sales, and collecting antiques, her most cherished jewel in life was her family. She loved being a wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. Her priorities in life were her relationship with Jesus, her family, and her friends. Carmaletta and her husband always made sure that the word of God was an ever presence in their home. To see her family come to know Jesus as their Savior was her top priority. The most important threads she sewed were the threads of love within her family. Even in death, these threads of love will never fray or tear.

Carmaletta was preceded in death by her parents; her loving husband, Bill Ringo; son, Carlos Ringo; grandson, Michael Ringo; brother, Jerry Caldwell; sister, Irene Irving; and two daughters-in-law, Debbie Ringo, and Tonya Dotson. Those left to cherish her memory and testimony are her daughter, Carlotta Bradley and husband, Jerry; four sons, Casey Ringo and wife, Kay, Calvin Ringo and wife, Vicki, Dr. David Dotson and wife, Deanna, and Billy Mac Ringo and wife, Beverly; nine grandchildren, Jerry Bradley Jr. and wife, Mary, Stephanie Sheffield and husband, Chad, Jennifer LaCour and husband, Michael, Wade Ringo and wife, Karen, Brittany Ringo and husband, Chance, Hannah Dotson and husband, James Thacker, Jesse Dotson, Anna Guy, and Andrew Guy; 12 great-grandchildren, Dr. Taylor Sheffield-Rutland and husband, Sean, Hunter Sheffield, Cashey Ringo, Ayriel Ringo, Lyndon Fair, Lavon Fair, Sidney Sykes, Summer Sykes, Asher Ringo, Julian Bradley, Leah Bradley, and Leslie Rangel; sister-in-law, Christina Caldwell; and many loving nieces, nephews, and other family members.

To honor our mother’s wishes, a private family Celebration of Life service will be held at a later date, and Carmaletta’s ashes will be inurned next to her husband at Furneaux Cemetery in Carrollton, TX.
