Carol Jean Williams, a beloved mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend, passed away peacefully on May 28, 2026 at her home in Quitman, Texas, at the age of 77. Born on November 14, 1948, in Peeltown, TX, Carol dedicated her life to her family and her passion for sewing, cooking, and baking cakes and pies, ensuring that her love went into every stitch sewn and every bite enjoyed.

Carol was the proud mother of daughter Theresa Brown and husband, Keith; sons James Grimes and wife, Beth Ann, Donny Williams and wife, Sharon, and Raymie Williams and wife, Cindy; brother, Bruce Brumbelow and wife, Gail; brother, Johnny Brumbelow and wife, Gracie. Her legacy continues through her grandchildren: Holly & Jake, Carla, Jordan, Kaylie & Taylor, Ray, Brandon & Michelle, Little Donny & Lisa, Jennifer, in addition to 10 bonus grandchildren. She also dearly loved her 25 great-grandchildren, and was so excited for her first great-great-grandchild on the way, to be named Margaret Allan. Carol's nurturing spirit and generous heart touched everyone around her.

An avid quilter and Bingo enthusiast, Carol brought joy and creativity to her family and friends. Her warmth, laughter, and zest for life will be deeply missed by all who knew her. The many nights of sitting around her kitchen table playing rounds of her favorite dice game, Zonk, will be a cherished memory held by her children. She also loved her baby, Pearl, and enjoyed dressing her up and taking her everywhere she went.

The family would also like to acknowledge and thank her neighbor, Kevin, for his helping hand and friendship. Carol thought the world of him.

Family and friends are invited to celebrate Carol's life at a visitation for all from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM on June 3, 2026. The funeral service will commence at 2:00 PM, honoring the remarkable life she led.

Carol was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Williams, parents James and Sue Brumbelow; brother, Charles Brumbelow, sister, Linda Lovelady and daughter-in-law, Tricia Grimes.
