Carrell Chambers

January 22, 1939 — November 11, 2007

Carrell Gene Chambers of Hawkins, Texas departed this earth to be with our Heavenly Father on November 11, 2007 at the age of 69. He was born January 22, 1939 to the late Evert and Lillie (Skelton) Chambers in Bradley, Oklahoma. He started school at Sandy Grove, Oklahoma and then attended school at Alex and Cox City, Oklahoma before his family moved to Plainview, Texas in 1949. In 1958 he began driving a truck for Alvin Junod Harvesting. In 1959 he began driving for Wilson Grain. In 1962 and for several years he drove a truck for Albert Buhrkuhl Trucking. Around 1964 he started driving for Albert Buhrkuhl Trucking, all the while farming in Plainview, Hale County, Texas. IN 1980 he began driving for Ebeling Manufacturing Company until the business closed. In 1984 he went to work for Jim Bandy driving one of his trucks that was leased to Jerry Judkins Trucking. Finally in 1986 he began driving for Wal-Mart Distribution Center in Plainview, Texas. He saw most of the lower 48 states from the windshield of a semi-truck. He retired in 1996 and moved to Hawkins, Texas. He was preceded in death by his wife of 45 years, Barbara Chambers. He is survived by his wife, Doris Harris Wilkerson Chambers of Hawkins, Texas; daughters, Carrellann and Ronnie Field of Winona, Texas; Michelle and David Keith of Lake Hawkins, Texas; son, Kelly and Kristal Chambers of Clovis, New Mexico; daughter, Patty Chambers of Odessa, Texas and daughter Page and Mike Daniel of Clovis, New Mexico; step-son, David and Cindi Wilkerson of Odessa, Texas; step-daughter, Deann and Bobby Sanford, Burnet, Texas; 22 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren; brothers, Jack and Peggy Chambers of Shelley, Idaho, Albert and Clarsey Chambers of Bradley, Oklahoma, Gerald and Ethel Chambers of Plainview, Texas and Ronnie Chambers of Fritch, Texas; sisters, Beatrice Hill of Lindsay, Oklahoma and Virginia and James Jones of Lindsay, Oklahoma; along with an endless amount of loving family and friends.
