Charles Wayne Bennight

Charles Wayne Bennight, 83, of Mineola, TX passed away on March 20, 2021. He was born on January 19, 1938 in Sinton, TX to Winston and Eunice Bennight. He was a retired U.S. Navy Veteran and served in the Vietnam war, where he earned the Bronze Star Medal for heroism. He was a member of the American Legion, Lifetime member of the NRA, Winnsboro Gun Club, and former member of the Navy Trap and Skeet Team. Mr. Bennight was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Sue Copeland. He is survived by his wife of 43 years, Marina Bennight; two sons, Daniel Bennight and wife Maegan of Waco, TX and Joseph Bennight and wife Sally of Waco, TX and two grandchildren. Rosary is scheduled for March 26, 2021 from 9-10 AM and Visitation from 10 - 11 AM at St. Peter the Apostle Catholic Church, Mineola, TX. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow the Rosary and Visitation at 11 AM on March 26, 2021. Gravesite ceremony will follow at 12:15pm at Roselawn Memorial Gardens, Mineola, TX.
