Charles Lee Broun

Charles Lee Broun, Jr., 72, journey ended in this world on November 10, 2021. Charlie was born on April 30, 1949, in Lubbock, Texas, to the late Charles Lee Broun, Sr. and Maggie Winstead Broun. He retired from the Leander ISD as the heating and air conditioning technician. Charlie and his wife Cathy left Leander because of the urban spread around their country place. They moved to Winnsboro 3 years ago to enjoy the quiet life of the country. He loved spending his time in the garden, tending his cattle, and soaking up what Mother Nature had to offer. Cathy described it as “Playing in Dirt”. Charlie is survived by his loving wife of 29 years Cathy Broun; brother Bobby Broun, brother William Broun and wife Lynn; sister Mary Decker and husband Jay; nephew Josh Waley; great-nephews Myles Waley and Cole Waley; great-great nephew Wade Waley. The family will have a service of remembrance at a later date. Cremation arrangements have been entrusted to Beaty Funeral Home.
