"LIVE BEFORE YOU DIE" the motto of Charles David "BUBBA" Hallman. He lived his life to the fullest. "Why make money if you don't enjoy the good life", he always said. Bubba passed away in a Tyler hospital on November 13, 2023. He was born on February 3, 1950, in Dallas, Texas, to the late Joe and Lillian (Havens) Hallman. Bubba was a 1968 graduate of Winnsboro High School. He served with honor in the U.S. Navy on the USS Thomaston (LSD 28) during Vietnam and was very proud of his country. Mr.Hallman was a true Renaissance man. He was a master carpenter who could take a #2 pencil and build the ark. Bubba travelled to almost every country as an oil consultant for 30 plus years. Mr. Hallman served as a firefighter, past Commander of VFW Post 3992, and a member of the Brotherhood of the "74 Motorcycle Club. Bubba was the storyteller for his family. He would share stories of his families past events with the clan. Bubba would on occasion tell a whopper of a story. Mr. Hallman fished tournaments for years and enjoyed golfing, hunting, and getting in front of the crowd to sing karaoke. Bubba was a ride or die biker who travelled to almost every state on two wheels. He was a huge NASCAR fan and former softball player/coach who went onto many national tournaments. Mr. Hallman was preceded in death by his parents Joe and Lillian Hallman-McCollum and sister Sherry McAlexander.
