Charles O Richardson

Charles O. Richardson, Jr. of Mineola, Texas passed away November 22, 2006 at the age of 68. He was born July 8, 1938, in Longview, Texas to the late C. O. and Tillie Harbour Richardson. He was a 1957 graduate of Mineola High School and attended Tyler Junior College in Tyler and Texas Christian University in Fort Worth. Mr. Richardson was a Veteran, having served with United States Army while stationed in Fort Collins in Colorado, Fort Chaffee in Arkansas and served 18 months in Metz, France. Upon discharge from the Army he was a Specialist IV (Sgt) in rank. Mr. Richardson retired from the Texas Department of Transportation after more than 37 years of services. He was an Engineering Technician V when he retired. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Mineola. He is survived by one sister, Judy Helen Welsh and brother-in-law Bruce of Plano; nephews, Allen Wayne Welsh and wife Teresa, and Jeffrey Jay Welsh and wife Lisa; great nephews, Ryan Jeffrey Welsh and Brandon Jay Welsh all of Plano; and numerous cousins and friends.
