Charles Edward Spence

Mr. Charles Edward Spence, age 77 of Winnsboro, passed away on Friday, September 30th, 2016 in Winnsboro. He was born on September 9th, 1939 in Pittsburg to the late Cary A. Spence and Gussie Hilburn Spence. He was a retired Heavy Equipment Operator for Renshaw Well service and others, he was also a member and deacon of Fellowship Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his parents; his first wife, Helen Florence Goodson Spence, second wife, Hazel Spence; daughter, Sherrie Spence Post; great-granddaughter, Alexandria Spence; brothers, Paul David Spence and Alvin "Joe" Spence. He is survived by his sons, Charles Wayne Spence of Leesburg, Terry Ray Spence and wife Pam of Winnsboro, Richard Spence and wife Kathy of Winnsboro; daughter, Regina Lee Perteet of Winnsboro; brothers, Morris Spence and wife Frances of Marshall, Jackie Spence and wife Carolyn of Winnsboro, Cary L. Spence and wife Sue of Winnsboro, Gary L. Spence of Winnsboro, Donald Spence and wife Kathy of Winnsboro; sister-in-law, Helen Spence of Winnsboro; eighteen grandchildren, twenty-five great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held on Sunday, October 2nd, 2016 from 2:00 pm to 3:00 pm at Beaty Funeral Home-Winnsboro; Funeral Services will follow at 3:00 pm, Bro. Paul Chandler officiating, interment will follow at Pineview Cemetery in Winnsboro, with Scotty Spence, Jeremy Spence, Jonathan Spence, Brian Spence, Connor Postell, Steven Postell serving as pallbearers; Honorary- Troy Spence, Brian Postell, Stoney Foster.
