Charles Frank White

Charles Frank White, age 80, died Sunday, September 4, 2011 in Tyler, Texas. He was born on Friday, September 4, 1931 in Livingston, Texas to the late Pat and Delia White. He served in the United States Army during the Korean War and attended St. Dunstan's Episcopal Church in Mineola, Texas. He was a retired DPS officer having given 25 years of service and was the sheriff of Wood County for 10 years.

He is preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Bobby White.

He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Joan Befeld White of Mineola; a son Bobby White of Mineola; two daughters, Kathy Dillard of Tyler, Texas and Karren Tunnell and husband Glenn of Mineola, Texas; eight grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

Visitation for Mr. White will be held at Beaty Funeral Home in Mineola on Tuesday, September 6, 2011 from 6 - 8 PM.

Funeral services will be held at Beaty Funeral Home, Memorial Chapel in Mineola on Wednesday, September 7, 2011 at 2:00 PM with Father Tom Pantle officiating.
