Charlie Eugene Bradshaw III was born July 16, 1960, in Dallas, Texas, to Charlie E. Bradshaw and Barbara Lemanski Bradshaw.
From the age of 12, Charlie was a lifelong resident of the Little Hope community near Winnsboro. He graduated from Winnsboro High School and briefly attended the University of Texas at Arlington before returning to Little Hope. He later resumed his studies and earned a degree from the University of Texas at Tyler.
Charlie worked with his father at Bradshaw Construction and on the family farm, where he became known for his ability to repair nearly anything. Whether it was a baler, tractor, or other essential equipment, he was often the one called upon to get it working again.
He also had a tender heart for animals. His family fondly remembers a day when, while baling hay, he stopped the tractor to move a fawn safely into the nearby woods. When he returned, the fawn had already made its way back and had to be moved again.
Charlie died May 22, 2026, at University Hospital in San Antonio. A loyal and loving son, he moved to New Braunfels in 2023 to help care for his mother.
He is survived by his mother, Barbara; his sister Mary Beth Jeanes, her husband, Patrick, and their son, Ryan; his sister Julie Corbett, her husband, Nick, and their daughters, Olivia and Riley Corbett; his uncle Jimmie Davis; and numerous cousins and friends. He was preceded in death by his father, Charlie Eugene; his niece, Kathleen Jeanes; and his nephew, Connor Jeanes.
A memorial service will be held Saturday, Aug. 1, at St. Ann Catholic Church in Winnsboro, with a Mass of Christian Burial beginning at 11 a.m. Family and friends are invited to remain afterward for a reception in the Family Life Center.
Burial will follow at Little Hope Cemetery.
