Charlie Williams

May 2, 1955 — December 12, 2025

With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Charlie Louis Williams, Sr., who left this world on Friday, December 12, 2025, at his home in Alba, Texas. He was born on May 2, 1955, to Andrew and Dorothy Williams. He spent his life grounded in love, hard work, and the simple pleasures that mattered most to him. Charlie was a devoted family man. He found his greatest joy in spending time with those he loved-especially his grandkids. Before he was unable to play you would often find him with a guitar in his hand and a smile on his face. Music was his language, laughter, his currency, and family his world. Charlie worked as a skilled leather smith for 30 plus years earning respect for his craftsmanship, dedication, and pride in doing things the right way. Outside of work, he was known for his storytelling, quick wit, contagious laugh and that mischievous twinkle in his eye-especially when it came to moonshine. Charlie was preceded in death by his parents; his beloved son, Charlie Louis Williams, Jr., known as "Bubba Hoodie"; his brother, Tony Dale Williams; and his sister, Alice Williams "Baby Angel." He is survived by his daughter, Misty Rana Williams "Hooks," and her husband, Allen Lee Hinson; his daughter, Wendy Cole, and her fiancé Michael Cearley; his son, Randall Cole, and his wife, Kelley; his brother, Marshall Williams; his sister, Evelyn Walker; eight grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; along with countless nieces and nephews who will all carry his memory in their hearts forever. Charlie will be remembered for the love he had for his family, spoiling his grandkids, the music he played, his laughter, and the warmth he brought into every room he entered by those who were blessed to call him Dad, Peepaw, brother, unc, and friend.
