Charlotte E. Scarborough

Charlotte E. Scarborough, age 86, died Monday, August 29, 2011 in Tyler, Texas. She was born on Monday, January 5, 1925 in Horatio, Arkansas to the late Ernest and Ruby Averitt. She was a member of Smith Chapel Methodist Church, the Fannie Marchman Garden Club, and the United Methodist Women's Organization. She was an Administrative Secretary at the Air Force Academy.

She is preceded in death by her parents; a son Michael Angelo Scarborough; and eight brothers and sisters.

She is survived by a son, Rick Scarborough and wife Laquita of Durango, Colorado; a sister, Doris Oleta Wiseman of Hoard, Texas; four grandchildren, Michael Scarborough, Liberty Scarborough, Dr. Ellie Johnson and husband Josh, and Andrew Scarborough; one great-grandchild, Amber Scarborough; and many, loving nieces and nephews.

Visitation for Ms. Scarborough will be held at Beaty Funeral Home in Mineola, Texas on Friday, September 2, 2011 from 6 - 8 PM.

Funeral Services will be held at Beaty Funeral Home Memorial Chapel in Mineola on Saturday, September 3, 2011 at 2:00 PM with Rev. Wayne Flowers officiating.

The family requests in lieu of flowers a donation be made to Hospice of East Texas in Tyler.
