Charm Moseley Norris Charm Norris, age 97, passed away peacefully on November 23, 2020, at The Isle at Watercrest, a senior living facility in Bryan, Texas. She was born in Mineola, Texas on September 23, 1923 to E. G. Moseley and Clora Hayden Moseley. She is predeceased by her parents as well as her two older sisters, Hazel Moseley and Evlyn Moseley. Charm spent the majority of her many years of life in Mineola. She graduated from Mineola High School in 1940 and moved away to attend the College of Marshall in Marshall, Texas where she met her husband, Julius Carl Norris, Jr. Married on November 29, 1942, the couple returned to Mineola in 1945 following his service in WWII and the completion of his subsequent studies at the Southern College of Optometry. Charm Norris was a beloved wife, mother, and grandmother as well as a dedicated community servant. She was an active member of First Baptist Church Mineola, serving as a Sunday School teacher for over 50 years. She enjoyed serving her community in countless organizations, such as the PTO, Girl Scouts, PEO International, the Mineola Chamber of Commerce, and the Mineola Museum. Charm was recognized as the Mineola Woman of the Year by the Chamber of Commerce in 1958. By her family and friends, Charm will be remembered as an incredibly warm, generous person who loved to entertain and created a feeling of welcome in her home. She was an avid traveler and visited dozens of countries and touched every continent except Antarctica. She delighted in blooming flowers, colorful birds, a piping hot cup of coffee, challenging word puzzles, and a rousing game of cards. She also appreciated beauty in all forms such as the sparkle of cut glass, the detail of a well-made piece of needlework, or the intricacies of a piece of music. Consequently, her husband was dragged to countless symphony performances, museums, and antique stores throughout the years. Charm will be deeply missed by her husband, J.C. Norris, and her daughters Suzanne Norris Phelps and Patricia Norris McClenny. She is also survived by her grandchildren Melissa Allen (Kale) of London, Jennifer Faulkner (Darren) of Austin, Blair McClenny (Rie) of Los Angeles, and Brooke McClenny of Nashville as well as great-grandchildren Zachary Faulkner, Andrew Faulkner, Titus McClenny-Adair, and Hugo McClenny. Services will be held at Beaty Funeral Home of Mineola, TX on November 28, 2020, at 3:00 PM.
