Cheryl Ann Coolbaugh

Cheryl Ann Coolbaugh passed away on Saturday, November 6, 2021 in Mineola, Texas at the age of 66. Cheryl was born June 5, 1955 in Niagara Falls, New York to Bonnie Long. Cheryl spent her early childhood in New York and Kansas before her family settled in Houston in 1966. She lived in many different cities throughout Texas during her adulthood. Her life's work included several different positions in the health care and steel industries over the years. She later became an emergency medical technician and lastly a certified nurse's assistant. She loved the outdoors, enjoyed traveling, photography, oceanography, calligraphy, and was a talented draftsperson and artist. She liked dolphins and especially loved orange tabby cats. She was mom to a total of five of them in her life. She is preceded in death by her stepfather, Leroy Long and her dear friend, Kimberly Duran. She is survived by her mother, Bonnie Long; two sisters; Karen Terry and her husband Greg and Sandra Abbott and her husband Kirk; three nephews; Heath Terry, Noah Abbott and Mathew Abbott as well as a multitude of aunts, uncles and cousins. A donation can be made to the Humane Society of Southeast Texas in Cheryl's name.
