Services for Chloie Jewel Thomas age 94 of Winnsboro, are scheduled for Wed. Feb. 27, 2008 at 2 PM. at Beaty Funeral Home Chapel in Winnsboro, TX. with Reverend Terry Bolton officiating. The family will have visitation from 5-7 PM at Beauty Funeral Chapel.

Burial in Pleasant Grove Memorial Park , Pleasant Grove, TX. under directions of Beaty Funeral Home. In leu of flowers, donations may be made to Cross Roads Baptist Church or Hospice of East TX. Tyler, TX.

Chloie Jewel Griggs Thomas went to be with our Lord on Feb. 25. 2008, at the age of 94 . She was a wonderful wife, Mother, Grandmother , Great Grandmother , Sister, Aunt and friend to many. She loved the Lord , her family and many friends. She was born to George Alexander and Nora Ellen West Griggs on October 6, 1913 in Saltillo, TX. She was married to Alvin Norman Thomas and he proceeded her in death in 1983 , also her brothers, Charlie , Jesse and Leornard Pat Griggs and her sister Ruby Adams.

She lived most of her life around Winnsboro and Friendswood, TX. For more than 60 yrs. her home was at Pleasant Grove , TX. She was employed in the cafeteria of Pleasant Grove School and worked in the sewing factory at Winnsboro , TX. She enjoyed making quilts and quilting with the "Jolly Quilting Club" at Pleasant Grove. She is now with her friends and sister and preparing to start making a Heavenly quilt. When she was able she enjoyed working with flowers in her yard.

She was a member of Cross Roads Baptist Church where she was active until her later years.

She resided in Park Place Nursing/Rehabilitation Center in Tyler, TX. for the past three years where she died, in care of Hospice of East Texas.

Her survivors are her son and daughter in law, Gerald and Joan Thomas of Tyler, TX., Grand children, Alethea Thomas of Olsztyn, Poland , Charles Thomas of Lewisville, TX. and Alan & Patti Thomas of Waco , TX. Three Great Grand children, Chelsea, Samuel and Chloe' Thomas of Waco , TX. Her sister Polly Cole of Winnsboro and many Nieces and Nephews and loving friends.

Pallbearers will be - Alan Thomas, George Jordan, Robert Temple, Roger Cole, Bobby Cole and Fred Griggs

Honorary Pallbearers are- Samuel Thomas, Shane Adams, Merle (Eddie) Adams, and Philip Morris
