Christine Oleta Woodfin

Christine Oleta Woodfin, born April 4th, 1916 in Upshur County Texas, passed away at Trinity Mother Frances Hospital in Tyler on December 14th, 2006. Christine was a lifelong resident of Texas, living almost 75 of her 90 years in Winnsboro. She belonged to Pine Street Baptist Church in Winnsboro and wanted to be remembered as a servant of the Lord. Christine was an avid fisherman and fished all of her life until she became ill in the fall of 2006. Christine also loved to cook, quilt and do other forms of art handwork. Christine was a devout wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend to her family and all who knew her. She is preceded in death by her husband, Bascom Holly Woodfin, her son Charles Davis Woodfin, great granddaughter, Melissa Williams and her father and mother, John William Davis and Opal Holder Davis, her sister Mable, and her brothers, William Woodrow Davis, Harvey Leon Davis and Truman Charles Davis. She is survived by her daughter, Dorothy Nell Bryan of Mineola, her sister Ozell Davis Cone of Winnsboro, her grandchildren Leanne Samra of Mesquite, Dana Williams of Allen, Patrick Little of Dalhart, Jeff Little of Flower Mound, and Mike Woodfin of Austin. She has 12 great grandchildren, Matt, Nick, Holley, Kimberly, Tanner, Courtney, Cameron, Payton, Drew, Ryan, Rachel and Zach.
