Connie Marie Kummer, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and friend, passed away peacefully on May 25, 2025, at the age of 65. Born on July 30, 1959, in Wichita, Kansas, Connie was the cherished daughter of Buddy Floyd Chastain and Barbara Jean Fox Chastain.

Connie lived a life filled with warmth, creativity, and devotion to her family and community. On March 3, 1977, she met the love of her life, Richard Kummer. Together, they built a beautiful life centered around family, laughter, and shared memories.

Known for her kind heart and artistic soul, Connie had a deep love for gardening, crafting, and painting ceramics. Her creativity was matched only by her precision—traits she also brought to her time with the WASP Shooting Club, where she was a proud member.

Connie’s greatest joy came from her family. She is survived by her devoted husband, Richard Kummer; mother, Barbara Jean Chastain; her sons, James Chastain and his wife Lee Ann, and Chris Kummer; her brother, Bud Chastain and his wife Sandi; her six adored grandchildren: Jace, Austin, Alexis, Ashton, Zachery, Vivian and one great grandson, Jackson. She was preceded in death by her father and her beloved grandson, Jayden.

Connie touched the lives of many with her unwavering love, steady presence, and generous spirit. Her legacy will live on in the beauty she created and the hearts she held close.

A celebration of Connie’s life will be held 11:00 am, Saturday, June, 7, 2025 at Beaty Funeral Home in Winnsboro, where friends and family will gather to remember the joy and light she brought into the world.
