Obituary

Cornelia (Fernandes) Revell, known by family and friends as "Connie", was born on November 12, 1929, in Falmouth, Massachusetts. Her father and mother had immigrated from Portugal, and she was proud of her heritage. She lived near the beach at Cape Cod until she was married in 1952. With a military husband, she moved with her family from place to place and settled on his family farm in Altamont, KS in 1972 while her children finished school. After divorce, she moved to Tulsa OK and worked there and then to Winnsboro, TX in 2008 where she lived in retirement near her daughter.

Connie lived her life in service to God and Family, and her Lord brought her to her heavenly home on August 20, 2026, at the age of 96, after a life filled with love, faith, and dedication.

Connie treasured her family and her faith above all else. She was a proud mother to her son and daughter, Wayne Revell of Parsons, KS and Sheila (Revell) Dyson of Winnsboro, TX. Connie's home was always filled with warmth and love, where she proudly displayed photos and stories of her kids, grandkids; Courtney, Whitney, Waco, Austin and Billy Wayne and great grandchildren; Laredo, Laramie, Atticus, Jonas, Loretta, Merle, Zoey, Cole and Emma. She loved family and friends and often hosted Red Hats and card games with friends she had made in the Winnsboro area from church and other activities.

Growing up on Cape Cod, Connie loved the water and spent a great deal of time there with her friends and especially her nearest sister, Fran. She felt it was important to teach all of her grandchildren to swim and was active in local recreational swimming groups and made many friends in water aerobics activities.

After making her home in Winnsboro, Texas, she became an active member of Pine Street Baptist Church. Her devotion to God and generous spirit touched the lives of many, reflecting her deep-seated belief in the power of kindness and community.

In Massachusetts, Connie started her work career with New England Bell Telephone and remained employed as they merged and ultimately became Southwestern Bell. She interrupted her career to raise her family and then returned to work for ATT Telephone in Parsons KS when her kids were in high school. She followed jobs to Wichita, KS and Tulsa, OK and retired after a successful career as a Communications Supervisor with AT&T. Connie saw technology in communication change and learned new skills to remain valuable and relevant, and she exemplified dedication and professionalism throughout her life. Her legacy of hard work and commitment to excellence serves as an inspiration to all who knew her.

Though Connie is no longer with us, her spirit will forever remain in our hearts, guiding us with her love. Celebrating a well-lived life, we will carry her memory forward, honoring her legacy by embodying the values she held dear.

Cornelia was preceded in death by: her papa and mama, Frank Frenandes and Lena (Silva) Fernandes and by all of her 15 sisters and brothers. The Fernandes children are all celebrating together in Heaven.
