Cornelia Ann Stewart

Cornelia left this earth on August 2, 2011 to be with the Lord and her loved ones that passed before her.

She was born to James Edward & Hattie Lee Ragsdill on February 16, 1935 in Bogata, TX.

She worked for many years with the Rivercrest and Winnsboro school districts in Tax Collection; she also, was a former Worthy Matron of the Eastern Stars, and a former Winnsboro City Council Member.

Her love for the Winnsboro United Methodist Church family was very strong as she did her part to share God's word through many years of teaching Sunday School & singing in the choir.

She is survived by her three sons and their spouses, Butch & Brenda Barker of Irving, TX, Mickey & Susie Barker of Sulphur Springs, TX and Jimmy & Pam Dickey of Greenville, TX.; step-sons, David Paul Stewart, Jr. and Jimmie of Justin, TX., Stephen James Stewart and Joy of Irving,TX.; step-daughter, Paula Ann Hooks and Keith of Kilgore, TX., brothers, Bill Ragsdill of Detroit, TX, , Jimmy Ragsdill of Waco, TX, Johnny Ragsdill of Bogata, TX, Jack Ragsdill of Sherman, TX., sisters, Nancy Bowden of Bogata, TX, Martha Freeman of Ft. Worth, TX. She was blessed with several grandchildren & great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by two loving husbands Bill Barker and Paul Stewart; her parents and one brother Paul Ragsdill.

Visitation will be at Beaty Funeral Home in Winnsboro, TX on Thursday, August 4, 2011 from 6:30 PM to 8:30 PM. The funeral will be at 10 AM on Friday, August 5, 2011 at First United Methodist Church in Winnsboro with Rev. Reid Fade & Bro. Henry Suche officiating.

Pall bearers will be Jimmy Dan Barker, Billy Joe Barker, Bradley Barker, Neal Barker, John Ross Ragsdill, Bobby Bowden, and Steven Ragsdill.

Honorary Pall Bearers will be her Young At Heart Sunday School Class.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the First United Methodist Church of Winnsboro, or The Hospice of East Texas in Tyler.
