Funeral services for Cynthia “Cindy” Ann French, 67, of Mineola, will be 2 p.m. Monday, February 2, 2015 at Lake Country Bible Church in Mineola, Texas, with Pastor Craig Lacy officiating.
Cindy passed away January 29, 2015 in Tyler, Texas. She was born October 9, 1947 in Mineola, Texas. She graduated from Deer Park High School in 1966. She married her high school sweetheart, Terry French, in 1967 and was happily married for 47 years. She traveled throughout the United States and Europe during her husband’s Air Force career and loved to travel with her family. After returning to Mineola, she worked as a volunteer at the Kindness Kottage until she became the Director. She was passionate about her work there and in the community where she volunteered.
She was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. She was affectionately known as “Grams” to her five beloved grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Mansell and Olga Turbeville and her three brothers, Michael, Robert, and Grant Turbeville. She is survived by her husband, Terry French of Mineola; son and daughter-in-law, Keith and Gretchen French of The Woodlands; daughter and son-in-law, Brandy and Donald Lyons of Melbourne, Australia; five grandchildren, Alexander French, Taylor Lyons, Christian French, Ethan Lyons, and Lauren French; sisters and brother-in-law, Cheryl and Stan Stork of Galveston, and Lisa Lucas of Mineola; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Gary and Terry French of Clifton, Virginia, and Dana and JoAnne French of Carrollton, Georgia along with numerous nieces and nephews.
