Danny Lee McKethan of Mineola, Texas, passed away peacefully on December 25, 2024.

Danny was born on August 10, 1947, in Dallas, Texas, to Wilburn and Lillian McKethan.

After completing service to his country in the United States Air Force, Danny spent 3 decades working for the City of Dallas, managing the Water Utilities Meter Division. Danny also served as a youth football coach for both of his sons, Brian and Keith.

Upon retirement, Danny and his wife, Nancy moved to Mineola where he enjoyed playing golf, fishing, and serving his church and community. At First Christian Church, he was a deacon, served several times on the Church Board of Directors and other committees, including Chairman of Pastoral Relations. He was also Chairman of the Board for the New Hope Water District.

Danny is preceded in death by his parents, Wilburn and Lillian. He is survived by his wife, Nancy McKethan of Mineola, son Brian McKethan of Rockwall; son Keith McKethan and daughter-in-law Ashley of Murphy; brother Mike McKethan (wife, Sharon) of Edmond, OK; brother Dennis McKethan (wife, Ginger) of Lindale; grandchildren Kate, Jake, Macee, and Nolan; and several cousins, nieces, and nephews.
