Danny E. Stiltner, 79, of Cedar Creek Lake, Texas, entered into the gates of Glory on January 21, 2022. He was born to the late Garlan and Ada Mae (Whited) Stiltner on October 12, 1942, in Grundy, Virginia. Danny served in the U.S. Navy on the aircraft carrier U.S.S. Saratoga during a dangerous time in this countries history during the early 1960's. Mr. Stiltner had lived in the past in the communities of Utica, Ohio, Mineola, Texas, and Cedar Creek Lake, Texas. He was a 51 year truck driver who received the Million Mile Award from Shaffer Trucking for no accident driving. He and his wife of 45 years Lillie Alene Stiltner drove as a team for Shaffer Trucking travelling the roads with their dog "Dandy". They received the Truck Driver of The Year Award for no accidents or late delivers. He was an avid motorcycle enthusiast travelling the highways on many a vacation. Danny was a lifetime member of the "HOG" Motorcylce Club, Harley Owner's Group. Mr. Stiltner was a member of Payne Springs Baptist Church in Mabank, Texas. Danny was preceded in death by his parents and daughter Deanna Ludwig. He is survived by wife Lillie Alene Stiltner; daughters Yvonne Kay Rutter and Michele Brown both of Ohio; brother Gary Wayne Stiltner of Mt. Gilead, Ohio; sisters Ruth Noel (Paul) of Florida, Carol O'Brien (Donnie) of Ohio; seven grandchildren, Misty Beaubien and her husband Joe, Danny Holmes, Amy and husband Chris Wright, Tyler and Brittany Booth, Skylar and Frankie Mills, Kylie Brown and Riley Bizorik; ten great-grand children and many nieces and nephews. A service to celebrate Danny's life will be held on Saturday, February 12, 2022 at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of Beaty Funeral Home-Mineola, Texas, Rev. Danny Dennie, Sr. officiating. Inurnment with military honors will take place after the service in Roselawn Memorial Gardens-Mineola.
