Daren Scholfield

Daren Wayne Scholfield, 58, passed away on Friday, November 28, 2025. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, December 13, 2025 at 2:00 p.m. at Beaty Funeral Home, located at 816 W. Broadway St., Winnsboro, TX 75494, with interment following at Pine Hill Cemetery in Winnsboro, TX.

Daren was born in Dallas, Texas, to Charles "Rich" Scholfield and Donna (Lewis) Aycock on June 15, 1967. He was preceded in death by his parents and grandparents, Harold and Lois Lewis.

He is survived by his daughter Tatom Lee (Austin), son Tanner Scholfield, brother Scott Scholfield (Tammy), former wife Jennifer Scholfield, and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and a host of cherished friends.

Daren began his early education in Mesquite, TX, where he attended elementary school before moving to Cedar Creek Lake to attend school in Malakoff. A proud graduate of Malakoff High School, Daren continued his education at Eastfield College, earning his EMT certification.

He dedicated several years of service to the United States Postal Service before finding great joy working at Webb Hill Country Club in Wolfe City, Texas, where his friendly personality made him a favorite among members and staff.

Daren was a very social and active person. He loved and cherished his kids, golfing, fishing, and spending time outdoors. Like his grandmother, Lois, his warm personality and love for simple pleasures touched everyone around him.

Daren will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him, yet his spirit will live on in the hearts of those he loved.
