David Joe Beard

David Joe Beard, age 72, died Saturday, April 27, 2013 in Mineola, Texas. He was born on Thursday, September 5, 1940 in Dallas, Texas to the late Joe and Aletha Beard. He was a Home Design Draftsman and a member of Broad Street Church of Christ. He was a founding member of the Lake Country Car Club and served 3 years as a Dallas Police Officer.

He is survived by his wife of 22 years, Patricia Beard of Mineola; two sons, David Bryan Beard of Farmers Branch, Texas and Steven Lee Beard of Carrolton, Texas; step-son, Billy Guzenski of Morgan Hill, California; two step-daughters, Michele Mays of Dallas, Texas and Beth Martin and husband Danny of Ponca City, Oklahoma; a brother, Robert Beard of Ovilla, Texas; thirteen grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

Visitation for Mr. Beard will be held on Monday, April 29, 2013 at Beaty Funeral Home in Mineola from 6:00 PM – 8:00 PM.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM on Tuesday, April 30, 2013 at Broad Street Church of Christ in Mineola with Steve Neville officiating.
