David Alexander Bell, born on July 23, 1955, in Dallas, Texas, passed away on July 22, 2024, just one day shy of his 69th birthday.
David was the cherished son of George Alexander Bell and Carol Lucille Bell. He grew up in Dallas, where he attended Thomas Jefferson High School before studying Construction Management at Richland College.
David served honorably in the United States Navy, working in flight deck operations on the aircraft carrier USS Constellation. After his military service, he dedicated 46 years to the construction industry and most recently was a Project Superintendent for Vaughn Construction, where he oversaw large commercial construction projects with expertise and dedication.
A respected member of the community, David was a member of the Gus Garrison Masonic Lodge in Winnsboro, Texas, and was a devoted Baptist. He enjoyed a range of hobbies including fishing, woodworking, and playing music.
David was married to the love of his life, Cindy, for 49 wonderful years. They wed on December 20, 1974, and together they built a life filled with love and laughter. David is survived by his beloved wife Cindy; his son Jacob, daughter-in-law Jennifer, and granddaughter Mackenzie; his son Justin and daughter-in-law Teresa; his son Caleb; and his daughter Kameron Whitmore and son-in-law Noah; and brother-in-law, Steve Hopper and his wife, Brenda.
David's memory will also be cherished by his many friends and extended family. He was preceded in death by his parents and two sisters, Sue Stovall and Kay Bell.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital in his honor.
David Alexander Bell will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him. His legacy of hard work, dedication, and love for his family and community will endure in the hearts of those he left behind.
