David Lynn Pierce

David Lynn Pierce of Winnsboro, Texas, joined the believers in heaven on June 18, 2021. Mr. Pierce was born on October 11, 1952, in Sherman, Texas to Claude Jay Pierce, Jr. and Anna Mae Knight. David had made Winnsboro his home for the past 26 years, coming from Garland. He worked as the massage therapist for Copper Leaf Spa for the past 14 years. David was a member of the Gus Garrison Masonic Lodge and a 15 year member of the First United Methodist Church of Winnsboro. He and his wife Darla enjoyed traveling and getting away on cruises. Mr. Pierce loved to hunt and fish, however, his greatest love was for his wife of 49 years Darla , his children and grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his father Claude Jay Pierce, Jr. and an infant sister Carol Pierce. Those left to cherish his memories are his wife Darla Ford Pierce; mother Anna Mae Coates; son Chris Pierce and wife Kim; daughter Kelly Chrisenberry and husband Ryan; brother Phillip Pierce and wife Kim; sister Linda Braud; grandchildren Christian Rivas, Kendall Pierce, Kyle Chrisenberry and Cameron Pierce. A celebration of David's life will be held on Sunday, June 20, 2021 at 1:00 p.m. in the sanctuary of the First United Methodist Church of Winnsboro with Pastor Debbie Lyons officiating. Masonic rites will be held for David at the memorial service.
