Dean Christie Felts

Memorial service for Dean C. Felts will be held on May 3, 2014 at 10:00 AM at The First United Methodist Church of Mineola.

Dean was born on January 30, 1935 in Tulsa, OK. He passed away on April 13, 2014 in Mineola, TX. Dean moved to Mineola from Plano in the mid 1990’s. He retired from Sun Oil Company where he worked for many years in computer disaster recovery.

Dean has been very active in this community. He served on many boards in his church. He was also devoted to the Kiwanis Club of Mineola, where he served as club secretary for many years. He was chairman of the Caring and Sharing Christmas fund drive for three years.

Dean is preceded in death by his wife; Kay Barrows Felts; his parents, John and Ona Felts; one brother, Jack Felts.

He is survived by son; Roger Felts and wife Colleen of Missouri City, TX. He is also survived by his life partner Mary Lou Doyal of Mineola, TX. He is also survived by many life long friends who will miss him.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hospice of East Texas or The First United Methodist Church of Mineola, TX.
