Deborah Ann Scott

Deborah Scott, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, daughter, sister, and friend, passed away peacefully on July 14, 2026, at the age of 63. She was born on April 10, 1963, in Ainsworth, Nebraska.

Deborah devoted her life to the people she loved and to serving others. She spent many years working in her family's restaurant business, where she found fulfillment in welcoming, serving, and caring for others. Her warm spirit and genuine love for people touched countless lives throughout the years.

Family and friends were at the center of Deborah's world. Her children were her pride and joy, and she treasured every moment spent with them and her granddaughter, Murphy. She also had a special place in her heart for her beloved little dogs, who brought her tremendous happiness and companionship.

Deborah spent much of her life in East Texas before making a dream of hers come true in 2006, when she moved to Destin, Florida. She loved the beauty and peacefulness of Destin and was grateful to call it home.

Deborah is survived by her father Patrick O'Kief and his wife Angie; her mother Ann Schmidt and husband Allen; devoted husband, Keith Scott; her children, Kelsey Scott, Taylor Scott and her husband, David Stowe, and Troy Scott; her granddaughter, Murphy Stowe; her siblings, Shelley Hoierman and her husband, David, Mary Gideon and her husband, Robert, Patrick O'Kief, Sarah O'Kief Hood and her husband, Brandon, and Allen O'Kief and his wife, Kristy; as well as numerous extended family members and dear friends who loved her dearly.

She was preceded in death by her maternal and paternal grandparents and her beloved daughter, Sydni Alyssa Scott.

Deborah will be remembered for her generous heart, her love of family and friends, her dedication to serving others, and the joy she brought to the lives of those around her. Her memory will live on in the hearts of all who had the privilege of knowing and loving her.
