Diana Dale McGovern

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Diana Dale McGovern, age 80, of Winnsboro, Texas, who departed this life on March 22, 2026. Born on December 13, 1945, in Winnsboro, Diana was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and community member.

Diana was a dedicated and skilled welder in the fabrication industry, having worked for many years at Kendon's in Winnsboro. Her work ethic and commitment to excellence were well-respected by her peers. In addition to her professional life, Diana was a long-time member of East Point Baptist Church, where she served diligently as church secretary for many years. Her faith and service to the church were cornerstones of her life and greatly impacted her community.

A nurturing spirit, Diana was known lovingly to her family as "Nana." She cherished cooking and spending time with her loved ones, creating an atmosphere of warmth and love that resonated through her home.

She is survived by her beloved husband, Tony McGovern; her son, Anthony McGovern and his wife, Deloris, and daughter-in-love, Sherry McGovern; her brother, Paul Pinson and his wife, Wanda; and her cherished grandchildren: Tony McGovern and his wife, Heather; Bryce McGovern and his wife, Brianna; and bonus grandchildren, Margie Wallace, Kelsey Garcia, and Charles Sandlin, along with eleven great-grandchildren who were the joy of her life.

Diana was preceded in death by her parents, Monroe Pinson and Mildred Pinson.

Diana's legacy will be honored at a funeral service that will be held on March 27, 2026, at 11:00 AM at Beaty Funeral Home in Winnsboro, Texas. A visitation will precede the service, beginning at 10:00 AM that same day.
