Dixie Perkins

Dixie Lorance Perkins, 79, of Mineola, passed away on January 17, 2020 in a local hospital. Dixie was born on August 3, 1940 in Muleshoe, Texas to James Andrew Lorance and Hazle Marie (Templar) Lorance. Mrs. Perkins had lived in Mineola since 1965 and had been a supervisor for 30 years at Buddy Schoellkopf Products. She is survived by her husband of 39 years Johnny Ray Perkins; daughter Patricia Banks and husband Johnny, daughter Karen Blair; sons Teddy Blair and wife Kim, Charlie Gill and Wayne Perkins; 22 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren. The family will receive friends for a time of visitation on Monday, January 20th from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Beaty Funeral Home in Mineola. The funeral will be held on Tuesday, January 21st at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of Beaty Funeral Home with Bro. Fred Morrow officiating. Burial will follow the service at New Hope Cemetery in Mineola.
