Don Harral Gustafson

Memorial services for Don Harral Gustafson M.D., 71, of Wood County, will be at a later date at The Uni-versity of Texas at Austin.

Dr. Gustaf-son died Sun-day, April 4, 2010, in Tyler. He was born Dec. 22, 1938, in Austin.

Dr. Gustafson was a Smith County Master Gardener. He graduated from The University of Texas at Austin and then attended U.T. Southwestern Medical School in Dallas. He then did his surgical residency at Parkland Hospital in Dallas. He worked at the Brackenridge Trauma Hos-pital in Austin until he semi-retired and moved to his farm in Wood County.

He was preceded in death by parents, Elmer R. Gustafson and Nell Harral Gustafson.

Survivors include wife, Mrs. Greta Cannedy Gustafson, Wood County; one son and daughter-in-law, Guy H. and Kristin Gustafson, Dallas; one sister and brother-in-law, Sytha and Norm Minter, Austin; and two grandchildren, Rory Gustafson and Sara Gustafson.
