Donna Ann Mcelroy

Donna Ann McElroy, age 57, died March 22, 2009 at the age of 57 after a brief illness. She was born on May 13, 1951 in Sherman, Texas. She was preceded in death by her father, Mr. L.M. West and her husband, Charles "Butch" McElroy. Mrs. McElroy is survived by her mother, Billie West of Winnsboro; brother, Ronnie West and wife Paula of Winnsboro; daughter, Rachel Rohus Hicks and husband Marvin of Carter, Oklahoma; son Heath Talley of Winnsboro; daughter Vanessa McElroy of Dallas; son, Doug McElroy of Arlington and grandson, Westley Hicks of Carter. Mrs. McElroy graduated from East Texas State University in Commerce. She was a teacher for the Winnsboro Independent School District for 31 mostly joyful years, most recently serving as a fifth grade social studies teacher. The family would like to extend their gratitude to all the friends and family that have been very supportive in her illness.
