Dora Ruth Goss

Dora Ruth Goss, age 81 of Winnsboro, passed away Friday, December 26, 2008 at her home. She was born in Midland on June 8, 1927 to the late William W. and Nancy Viola Whitworth Parker. She was married to Artie D. Goss in Winnsboro on June 2, 1950. She was a homemaker, and a home health aide; Before retiring to Winnsboro, she was a member, and sunday school teacher for many years at Village Baptist Church in Irving, currently she was a member of the East Point Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Artie Goss; grandson, Jeremy Goss; great-grandson, Jay Neustupa. She is survived by two sons, Delwin Goss of Austin, Mark Goss of Winnsboro; one daughter, Evelyn Birlew of Quinlan; two brothers, Dewey Parker of Statford, Ok., Lloyd Parker of Levelland; one sister, Joyce Brewer of Porter; four grandchildren, Ricky Birlew of Quinlan, Scott Birlew of Mesquite, Baniel Birlew of Quinlan, Krystal King of Winnsboro; as well as twelve great-grandchidren, and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
