Doris L. "Dot" Callaway, of Winnsboro, Texas, passed into everlasting life on August 2, 2021. Dot, as she was affectionately known, was born on February 27, 1930, in the Perryville community in Wood County to the late Hardy Carl Hamm and Martha Louise (Tomlinson) Hamm. She was a hard-working lady for Brookshire's grocery store from 1964 to 2010. Dot is survived by her brother and sister-in-law, Hardy and Suzanne Hamm of Winnsboro; 4 granddaughters, Lesli Anders and husband Jason of Winnsboro, Rebecca Baxter and husband David of Winnsboro, Kaylie Black and husband Willie of Wellington, Kansas, Soyya Chumley and husband Drew of Ft. Worth; 9 great-grandchildren, Dylan Anders, Dooley Anders and wife Brianna Chaney, Ethan Baxter, Chloe Baxter, and Jaxen Baxter, all of Winnsboro; Averie Black, Maddox Black, Braxtan Black and Addyline Black, all of Wellington, Kansas; 1 great-great-grandson, Dawson Anders of Winnsboro. Dot was preceded in death by her son Geary Callaway and daughter Cathy Vinita. A private family gathering is planned for a later date. Cremation arrangements have been entrusted to Beaty Funeral Home.
