Doris Lavada Earhart

Doris Lavada Earhart, age 93, died Wednesday, January 18, 2012 in Kilgore, Texas. She was born on Wednesday, January 8, 1919 in Hawkins, Texas to the late Horace and Crinnie Ellison. She was a hairdresser for 20 years and owned Earhart Grocery in Hawkins.

She is preceded in death by her parents; and her husband Roland Earhart.

She is survived by a son, David "Ronald" Earhart and wife Judy of Overton, Texas; two brothers, David Ellison of Odessa, Texas and Billy Gene Ellison of Onalaska, Texas; one grandchild, Sherri Ware and husband Jamie of Kilgore; and one great-grandchild, Jordan Ware.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, January 21, 2012 at Beaty Funeral Home in Hawkins from 1 - 2 PM followed by a graveside service at 2 PM at Hawkins Cemetery with Bro. Bill Holmes officiating.

The family requests in lieu of flowers, memorial be made to Heart to Heart Hospice or the First Baptist Church of Hawkins.
