Doris Dickey McLarty

"Momma Doris" died Tuesday, August 30, 2011 in Winnsboro at the age of 92. She was born June 7, 1919 in Winnsboro to the late, Robert T. and Lucy Eskridge Dickey. She married Ben Jack McLarty on April 3, 1938 and he preceded her in death on March 5, 1991. She was also preceded in death by a grandson, Robert McLarty; two sisters, Dale Dickey Smith and Carolyn Dickey Peterson and by one brother, Robert Dickey.

She was a housewife, a member of the First Baptist Church of Winnsboro and a past member of the Winnsboro Book Club.

Survivors include her son and daughter-in-law, Bob and Clarese McLarty; daughter and son-in-law, Kathy and Danny Mangum; grandchildren, Colin McLarty, Danna Beaty, Mia Parrish and Brandon Mangum; great grandchildren, Katelyn Bradshaw, Brighan Beaty, Bankstan Beaty, Micah Parrish, Chelsea Parrish and Amanda Parrish.

Funeral services are scheduled for 1:00 PM Thursday at Beaty Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. David Rose officiating. The family will receive friends from 12:00 to 1:00 on Thursday. Interment will follow at Lee Cemetery.
