Doris Aline Miller, a cherished mother, grandmother, and friend, passed away peacefully on June 6, 2024, at the age of 98. Born on December 12, 1925, in Paragould, Arkansas, Doris was the beloved daughter of Courtney Brice Beadles and Viola Jones Beadles.
Doris grew up in Paragould AR, where she attended Paragould High School and graduated with the class of 1941. A devoted and creative soul, Doris dedicated her early years to being a stay-at-home mom. After meeting her second husband, Clarence Eugene Miller, in 1966 in Dallas TX, the couple opened a Florist shop in east Dallas, which they managed together until retiring to the Winnsboro TX area in the late 1980's. Her passion for flowers made Winnsboro the perfect place to retire with the abundant Azalea and Spring Flower Trails.
A vibrant and creative hobbyist, Doris was known for her inventive spirit. Her close friends, Judy Hogan and Ellen Ummel of Winnsboro, were her true angels on earth, providing companionship and joy. Doris often spoke fondly of reuniting with her childhood best friend, Betty Blackard from Peoria, IL, in heaven.
Doris was preceded in death by her husband, Clarence Eugene Miller, who passed away on November 15, 2006.
She leaves behind a legacy of love and family, survived by her sons, Bob Greene and his wife, Dixie, and Michael Greene and his wife, Dawnell. She also leaves behind her cherished bonus-daughter, Kathy Abney and her husband, Ron. Doris was a proud grandmother to six grandchildren: Robert Greene, Michael Greene, Kimberly Greene, Brandon Greene, Jeff Abney, and Linsie (Abney) Vike. Her legacy continues through her numerous great and great-great-grandchildren and a host of dear friends.
Doris Aline Miller will be remembered for her warmth, creativity, and the beautiful flowers she brought into the lives of everyone she touched. Her memory will forever bloom in the hearts of her loved ones.
