Dorothy Dale Holcomb

Dorothy (Dot) Holcomb, of Pickton, Texas, passed away unto the arms of her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on December 1, 2020. Dot was born on August 11, 1928 in Pickton to the late Ernest and Erma (Pugh) Neighbors. She was also preceded in death by her beloved husband James Holcomb in 2016. Mrs. Holcomb was a member of Pickton United Methodist Church. Dot loved teaching Sunday School to the children, quilting and cooking up great dishes for the community. Her coconut pie was especially a tummy pleaser. Mrs. Holcomb is survived by her daughter Jamie Gatto (Rick), daughter Karen Grier (Glen), sister Barbara Lawson, 5 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. A graveside service will take place on Friday, December 4th in New Pickton Cemetery at 1:00 p.m. with Bro. Henry Suche officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations in Dot's memory can be made to Pickton United Methodist Church, P.O. Box 2, Pickton, Texas 75471.
