Dortha May Wilson

Dortha May Wilson of Winnsboro, Texas joined her loved ones in Heaven on January 16, 2021. Mrs. Wilson was born on January 26, 1930 in Enid, Oklahoma to the late T.L. and Martha Shillings O'Kelly. She was also preceded in death by her husband John D. Wilson in 2011 and son Larry Wilson. Dortha married John on February 15, 1951 in Midland and then the two of them enjoyed 60 years together. She was a member of Welcome Home Baptist Church. Dortha loved to do crossword puzzles, baking goodies for her family, tending to her rose bushes and sewing. Most importantly to her, however, was being with and loving her family. Mrs. Wilson is survived by daughters Carol Marshall and Lynn Bell; sister Jirldean Carta; grandchildren Heather Sumpter, Sarah Jongsma, Brandon Marshall, Ashley Moore and Mistie Bush; 17 great-grandchildren and 3 great great-grandchildren. The family will receive friends at Beaty Funeral Home in Winnsboro on Tuesday, January 19th from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. The service to celebrate her life will be 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, January 20, 2021 in the chapel of Beaty Funeral Home, Bro. Ken Goodson to officiate. Burial will follow the service at Lee Cemetery.
