Douglas Lee Merck

Douglas Lee Merck of Winnsboro, passed away on Wednesday, December 20, 2023, with his wife by his side. He was born in Dallas on September 16, 1956 to Maurice Jack Merck and Marguerite Pauline Stafford. Doug was an over the road trucker for 45 years. Driving was his passion. He loved the Lord and loved telling bible stories to anyone who would listen. He married is loving wife, Dee, on January 16, 2007, and they made it their home in Winnsboro. He was preceded in death by his father, Maurice Jack Merck and his brother Steve Merck of Winfield. He is survived by his wife of 17 years, Dee Merck, of Winnsboro; mother Marguerite (Sam Baley) of Montrose, CO; daughters, Amanda Glenn, of Columbus, Ohio and Tina Franklin, of Springhill, LA ; son Travis Merck; and sisters Cindy and Terri, of Dallas. Numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren. Doug loved making people laugh. He was loved and will be deeply missed.
