Draper Thompson Dunahoe

Draper (Thompson) Dunahoe, born on May 4, 1943, in Kosciusko, Mississippi, passed away peacefully on September 18, 2026, leaving behind a legacy of love and faith. She is survived by her son Vance Dunahoe, her cherished grandchildren Ela, Caleb, Landon, and Gavin Dunahoe, and her stepchildren, Lance Dunahoe and Laurea Irving and their spouses Danielle Dunahoe and Chip Irving. Draper also leaves behind her beloved brother Tommy Thompson, sister Kay Walker, nieces Karen Reel and Jinnie Thompson Ray, along with her nephew Tommy (2) Thompson, all of whom were touched by her warmth and kindness.

Throughout her life, Draper balanced her successful career as a Certified Public Accountant, with the roles of loving wife, mother and grandmother. For more than 46 years, she shared her life with her husband, Gordon, finding joy in the simplicity of each moment together. Draper was a woman of deep faith, dedicating her life to loving and walking with the Lord daily, and she found solace in reading the Bible, offering prayers for her friends and family and leading worship on Sunday mornings.

A passionate sports fan, Draper enjoyed watching football, but it was faith and fellowship that filled her heart with the deepest joy. She celebrated countless memorable moments with family that will forever be cherished. Draper's caring and strong life of devotion to Christ and serving Him will be remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing her.

The family will gather for a graveside service on September 23, 2026, at 10:00 am at Ray Cemetery, where Draper will be laid to rest. Her memory will continue to inspire those who loved her, as they carry forward the lessons of faith, love, and perseverance she so beautifully embodied.

Draper was preceded in death by: her husband Gordon Dunahoe, and parents Eddie and Mary Thompson.
