Drennon Lee Allen, age 81, of Winnsboro, passed away on Wednesday, July 31, 2013 in Winnsboro. Drennon was born in McAdoo, Texas on October 8, 1931 to the late Robert Y. and Eula Richards Allen. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army, a retired sales manager for AT&T, a member of the Gus Garrison Masonic Lodge, and St. Frances Episcopal Church in Winnsboro. He became a Mason in 1954, in James A. Smith Lodge #395. He affiliated with Winnsboro, Gus Garrison #1273, in 2001. He served as Worshipful Master in 2008. He was a member of the Order of Eastern Star for 48 years, where he served several times as Worthy Patron. He was preceded in death by his parents, and his wife of 56 years, Betty Jean Brunson Allen. He is survived by three sons, Drennon Lee Allen, Jr. and wife Marlene of El Lago, TX., Phillip Eugene Allen of Keller, Marc Steven Allen and wife Trish of Ruidoso, NM.; two daughters, Janet Lea Peralez and husband Robert of Little Rock, AR., Suzanne Rene` Twitchell and husband Steve of Winnsboro; one sister, Yvonne Fyke of Cumby; eighteen grandchildren, and twenty-eight great-grandchildren.
