Duwan Edwin Curts

Duwan “Dee” Edwin Curts, 73, of Mineola, TX passed away on Friday, November 20, 2015 in Tyler, TX. He was born on Monday, May 25, 1942 in Waxahachie, TX to the late Frank and May Curts.

Dee was a volunteer fire fighter for Quitman Fire Department for many years. He was also in the Model A Club and was the owner of Dee's Paint and Body for over thirty years.

He is preceded in death by his wife, Brenda Curts; brothers, Harold Curts, Rable Curts and Ralph Curts; grandson, Brian Williams.

He is survived by his sons, Danny Curts and wife Teri from Golden, TX, Wayne Curts and wife Shelva from Mineola, TX; daughter, Pam Griffin and husband Quincy from Hawkins, TX; ten grandchildren; six great grandchildren and one great-great grandchildren.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, November 22, 2015 from 6-8 PM at Beaty Funeral Home in Mineola, TX. Funeral service will be held on Monday, November 23, 2015 at 2:00 PM at Sand Springs Baptist Church in Mineola, TX officiated by Waymon Ragsdale, Rev. Nick Kerry and Barry George. Interment will follow at Roselawn Memorial Gardens in Mineola, TX. In lieu of flowers family requests donations be made to Hospice of East Texas, 4111 University Blvd. Tyler, TX 75701.
