Earl Wayne Hass

Mr. Earl Wayne Hass, age 76, of Winnsboro, passed away on Saturday, November 19, 2016 in Sulphur Springs. Wayne was born in Winnsboro on July 22, 1940 to the late William D. "Buster" Hass and Willie Mae Corbitt Hass. He retired from the Crystal Oil Company as area production foreman, he also worked as a deputy for the Winnsboro Police Department, the Wood County Sheriff's Department, served as Wood County Constable; he also worked for a time as a body guard for Charley Pride. He was a member of Cross Roads Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his parents; and infant brother, Jerry Lynn Hass. He is survived by his daughter, Kim Criswell of Winnsboro; two granddaughters, Autumn Lynn Ross and husband Russell Ross of Sulphur Springs, Summer Criswell of Winnsboro; and great-grandson, Tanner Neil Henson. The family will have a memorial service at 2:00 PM on Friday, November 25, 2016 at Cross Roads Baptist Church outside Winnsboro, Bro. Terry Bolton and Bro. Fred Morrow officiating. Donations can be made to the Cross Roads Baptist Church in lieu of flowers.
