Edith Irene Mays

Mrs. Edith Irene Mays passed away on Thursday, September 3, 2009 at the age of 89. She was born on December 13, 1919 to the late William Miller and Eula Alford Miller. Mrs. Mays was a homemaker and a member of the Pickton United Methodist Church. She married Mr. Thomas Bascom Mays on May 14, 1938 and he preceded her in death on April 2, 2002. Mrs. Mays was also preceded by a son, James Paul Mays; grandson, Christopher Mays and by two brothers, Dial Miller and Raymond Miller. Survivors include her sons and daughter-in-law; C.B. Mays of Forest Hill, Tommy and Sandra Mays of Pickton, Larry Mays of Pickton and Bobby Mays of Pickton; daughters and sons-in-law, Betty and Mark Knight of Winnsboro, Elaine and Pat Elza of Tyler and Marilyn and Ronnie Odom of Windom; brother, Delbert Miller of Tyler; sister, Betty Couch of Desoto; nineteen grandchildren; seventeen great grandchildren; two great great grandchildren and many other family and friends.
